Cookie Notice - FragonForge
Last updated: 2026-07-20
This notice explains the cookies and similar technologies used by the FragonForge website (fragonforge.com) and the FragonForge application (app.fragonforge.com). It supplements our Privacy Policy.
In short
FragonForge uses a single essential session mechanism to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we run no third-party analytics. Because only strictly necessary cookies are used, no cookie-consent banner is required, and this notice is informational.
What we set
- Session cookie (strictly necessary). When you sign in to the application, we set one session cookie so the service knows you are authenticated from one page to the next. It is an HttpOnly cookie, so it cannot be read by JavaScript, and it carries no repository content. Signing out or clearing it ends the session.
- Theme preference (local storage, not a cookie). If you switch
between light and dark mode, the website remembers that choice in your
browser's local storage under the key
ff-theme. It never leaves your browser, is never sent to us, and is not used to identify you.
The marketing website itself sets no advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies.
What we do not use
- No advertising or marketing cookies.
- No third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting.
- No cross-site tracking and no visitor profiling.
Payment
If and when you complete a paid checkout, our payment processor Stripe may set its own cookies on Stripe's own domain to process the payment and guard against fraud. Those are governed by Stripe's own cookie and privacy notices. Stripe is listed on our Sub-processor list.
Controlling cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Because the session cookie is strictly necessary, blocking it signs you out and stops the application from keeping you logged in; the rest of the website still works without it.
